Forensic Chemist

Salary: On application

This is a very varied role to include casework (including attending scenes of crime where necessary), primarily the examination of footwear. You will be:

• Performing laboratory examination of items and interpreting findings, mainly in relation to footwear evidence;
• Conducting examinations away from the laboratory, when required;
• Giving evidence in court as an expert witness;
• Supporting colleagues in cross-disciplinary examinations;
• Assist in maintaining Quality procedures for forensic chemistry;
• Contributing to the company's research programme.

Ideal candidates will be reliable and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently as well as being an integral part of our friendly team. You will be experienced, with reporting skills extending beyond footwear analysis.

You will hold a full driving licence and be fully conversant with standard ITpackages for office use. Salary is dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate.
